Moon Glo Bar & Grill

Headed to Indianapolis from Springfield and a buddy says Hey I used to work around here about a decade ago and there was a amazing little bar out in the middle of nowhere but had the best steaks ever. We do our thing in Indianapolis and decide on the way back that we're gonna find that bar! The Moon Glo was it! We pull into the lot and the most amazing smell of steaks cooking on open pit charcoal filled the air... our mouths were watering! We walk into this unassuming looking little bar and are greated by cheerful Hello's from 2 waitresses. She sat us immediately at a great little table on the far side of the room. The menu was very clear and she took our orders. I ordered the 22oz sirloin, my buddies got the 18oz ribeye and the pork chop special and thw burgers. The salad bar was just that, a straight forward salad. Our steaks went right on the grill as we were up getting our salads. Just as we were done eating our salads the food came out. Now I'm not promising you are gonna get the same steak I had but I promise you my steak was WELL over 22oz!!! Look at that picture!!! It was the WHOLE plate! That's Texas toast next to it!!! It was cooked to perfection! Everything about the experience was perfection! They had all kinds of a different drink options and she checked on us more than enough times over the course of dinner! Anywhere else I'd have been in WAY over 50 for the steak I had... not here. Go Eat Here!

Best steaks and burgers around. Staff are always accommodating no matter how busy the place is. Phil Adams the owner, and his staff have always kept that place nostalgic and very family friendly and if you’re wearing sweatpants, you might be overdressed. Great place to take the Family or the employees for a great night out. I highly recommend it.

Ordered a huge amount of food for lunch at work. Ordering was easy and Angel was so helpful in the phone! As ALWAYS, the food was amazing! Best burger- juicy and delicious. Sides are great too-especially the cauliflower. The owner brought our food so fast and everything was hot!

Great steaks and tenderloins. Usually have some good specials going on. If you like hamburger get the moon burger. It’s big. Great open flame grill for the steaks.

This is the epitome of a classic hole in the wall joint! It oozes atmosphere. The Moon burger is awesome, the hand cut cook your own stakes, amazing (you can have them cook it for you as well) and the fried pickles out of this world! Check out the Tuesday lunch special a Ribeye sandwich and fries for 12 bucks! I do wish they would bring back the steak fries but the crinkle fries are good. A definite destination everyone should experience!

Best burgers around! Tried the steak this time and it was pretty good! But the burger is still my choice here! The owner is a real nice guy as well! Walked around talked to everybody, even shared stories behind some of the many pictures on the walls.

What a great place! Not overly fancy but the food is over the top. We had the grilled pork chops, they were the best i have eaten in years! Looking forward to stopping in on our next trip though the area.

Great little classic American joint, with people who have big hearts. The joint is friendly and the food is amazing!Had the Moon Glo burger and it was huge.The fried pickle spears were also delicious!Great atmosphere and if you really want that small town big flavour big personality place this is it. It's awesome.Oh and special mentions for the Tomatoes in the burgers fresh out the owners garden! Tastes devine.
